Villa Pacchiani, Santa Croce sull\u2019Arno (Pi)<br \/>Photo Ela Biakowska, Okno studio<\/p>\n<p>Xilofagia \u2013 xilografia consiste in una serie di stampe xilografiche in cui ho utilizzato come matrici delle tavole di legno mangiate dai tarli.<br \/>Durante il classico procedimento di inchiostratura della matrice con il rullo, i fori circolari lasciati dai tarli sono rimasti liberi dall\u2019 inchiostro, restituendo in stampa il bianco del foglio e una visione molto simile ad un cielo stellato.<br \/>Il vuoto lasciato dai tarli determina la possibilit\u00e0 di uno spazio infinito, in cui l\u2019universo diventa qualcosa di molto vicino a noi.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Xilofagia \u2013 Xilografia has been realized through the classic process of xylographic printing using as a matrix a wooden board eaten by woodworms.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #808080;\">A printed work that reflects and portrays the technique itself, whose voids, the effect of the voracity of the xylophagous insect and not of the artist, punctuate<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #808080;\">the inked board and passed to the press, making the overall view of the print in all aspects similar to a starry sky.<br \/>The void left by woodworms give the possibility of an infinite space, in which, the universe becomes something very close to us.<\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_gallery gallery_ids=&#8221;2151,2328,2320,2327,2322,2325,2324,2329,2323,1164,698,2703,766,1950,2676&#8243; fullwidth=&#8221;on&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Gallery&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_gallery][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">STURM UND DRANG, 2011 &#8211; 2012<br \/>taglieri da cucina inchiostrati e stampati su carta<i>\u00a0|\u00a0<\/i>cutting-boards inked and printed on paper<i><br \/><\/i>90&#215;90 cm incorniciati | \u00a0framed<\/p>\n<p>In &#8220;Sturm Und Drang&#8221;, ho raccolto alcuni taglieri da cucina appartenenti a persone diverse (mia nonna, il macellaio, alcuni amici e conoscenti diversi) che poi ho inchiostrato e stampato con il torchio calcografico:<br \/>l\u2019inchiostro da stampa \u00e8 entrato nei solchi lasciati dai coltelli durante l\u2019utilizzo quotidiano del tagliere. L\u2019immagine restituita con la stampa \u00e8 la testimonianza di anni di momenti di convivialit\u00e0 domestica, come pranzi e cene avvenuti all\u2019interno delle abitazioni da cui provengono i taglieri.<br \/>\u201c [&#8230;] E\u2019 la restituzione di un\u2019aura mai avvertita prima d\u2019ora, uno sguardo a ritroso oltre il buio monotono dei giorni, indovinando una loro radianza minima e insondata, come attraverso una geologia della pratica quotidiana, una tettonica dell\u2019umilt\u00e0 domestica[&#8230;] I taglieri diventano cos\u00ec, metonimia dell\u2019esitenza, testimonianza di un inesplorato giacere dentro la storia minuscola delle generazioni.\u201d Alberto Mugnaini, \u201cChiari di mezzaluna\u201d, estratto dal Catalogo della mostra \u201cSturm Und Drang\u201d Museo Marino Marini, Firenze., 2012<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">With the work Sturm und Drang,\u00a0 I have collected several kitchen cutting boards (11 until now) from different people (my granmother, butcher, friends etc), which I then printed with the printing press: the printing ink has entered in the cracks left by the various domestic tools, (knives or varous kind of blades) of\u00a0 reminiscent of years of lunches, dinners, moments of sharing. The results are completely different images, depending on the story of each cutting board that becomes a witness matrixto domestic life and small daily stories. Queste matrici, invece di essere inchiostrate con normale inchiostro da stampa, sono state consegnate ad alcuni meccanici che hanno passato le mani sporche di grasso per motori sulla superficie della lastra, poi restituita all&#8217;artista e quindi <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: 'Liberation Serif', serif; color: #202124;\">stampata. Il risultato sono 12 stampe\u00a0 diverse tra loro<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">12 female nudes taken from the calendars in the mechanical workshops have been engraved on zinc plates. Il segno grafico che questi strumenti quotidiani lasciano sulla carta \u00e8 caratterizzato da molteplici linee che si incrociano, restituendo un&#8217;immagine sfocata.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u00a0Fork and spoon in silver become drawing tools.
